For online purchases, Rubin & Chapelle will accept full-price merchandise in its original condition for exchange when accompanied by the original sales slip.  We do not provide full refunds.  We will not accept merchandise that has been worn, used, altered, or damaged.  Exchanges will be processed within 5-7 business days of receipt.  Full-priced merchandise must be returned/exchanged within 5 business days from date of delivery.  Sale-priced merchandise is Final Sale only.  Online purchases may not be returned or exchanged at Rubin & Chapelle retail stores, department stores, boutiques, or distributors. Please note that shipping costs will not be subject to return and that a different return policy may be applicable for in-store purchases. 

Every effort will be made to ensure a prompt exchange and an email notification will be sent once the return/exchange has been processed. Shipping charges for any returned item(s) are the client’s responsibility. 


We recommend shipping returned merchandise via insured parcel post for tracking purposes and that a customer request adequate insurance to cover the purchase price of the shipment. Rubin & Chapelle will not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation in the event that return packages are lost, stolen, or mishandled.


Certain items are shipped with a return/exchange tag attached.   Please note that returns and exchanges on these specific items will only be honored if the label remains intact and the return instructions are followed.


We reserve the right to refuse return of any merchandise that does not meet our return requirements in Rubin & Chapelle’s sole discretion.  If you return a package that does not meet our criteria, it will be denied. All denied returns will not be eligible for exchange and will be forfeited.  Please note that rubinchapelle.com does not make exchanges for in-store purchases.  For more information, please contact us.


If you exchange for an item of identical price, there will be no charge.  If you exchange for an item with a different price, you will receive the new item at its current price (on the day we process your exchange).   If an exchange item’s price is more than the original item’s price, you will be charged the difference.  If an exchange item’s price is up to 10% less than your original item’s price, Rubin & Chapelle will refund that amount to your original form of payment.  If an exchange item’s price is more than 10% less than your purchased item, Rubin & Chapelle will issue a credit statement good for purchases on rubinchapelle.com only good for one year.  INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS NOTE: Though we mark exchange orders as an equal exchange for no value, your local customs office may still assess fees when your exchange order arrives.


The exchange of an item purchased on rubinchapelle.com involves a three-step process.  First, please begin by making an online selection of the item you wish to purchase in exchange.  Second, send an email to exchange@rubinchapelle.com outlining the order number and the items involved in your exchange.  Third, return the original item by following the steps outlined above.  Please note that the returned item must be received by Rubin & Chapelle in original condition and that new orders are subject to Rubin & Chapelle having available merchandise on-hand.  Shipping charges for any returned item(s) are the client’s responsibility. Your exchange item(s) will be sent to you via standard ground service at no additional cost.


Need your exchange fast? Please call us at 860-292-0620 or email us at online@rubinchapelle.com and tell us that you want to do an express exchange for your original order.  We will order and charge you for the new merchandise and ship it. While you wait for your new order, send us back the original merchandise and we'll credit your account once we receive it.   



If you wish to cancel or modify your order, please send an email as soon as possible online@rubinchapelle.com.  We will make every effort to accommodate your request.  However, once an order has been submitted we cannot guarantee the purchase can be cancelled or modified.  Once you have received your online order, please refer to our return instructions included with your shipment.
